3. Activate a Great Commission Mindset in Your Personal Life and within Your Congregation
Intentionally develop into a committed, mature, and faithful disciple of Jesus.
Join and actively participate with one or more Small Groups – either within your church structure or outside with other Believers.
Seek how you can discover, develop, and deploy your specific spiritual gifts and talents to contribute to your ministry mission and make a difference in your family, local congregation, small group, and community.
Share the good news of Jesus – lead the lost to the Lord:
With those within your circle of influence – personal evangelism through relationships.
Then within your local community – church-sponsored outreach activities.
Finally, to the nations – unreached peoples of the world:
As a Goer – specifically called by God to be a Missionary or Field Worker.
As a Sender – all born-again Believers.
Or do Both!
Scriptural basis for both Goers and Senders in Romans 10:12-15 – For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile – the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
It is the responsibility of the Body of Christ to send those who are called to go out.
Become an intentional disciple-maker by influencing and mentoring others through personal relationships within your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, associates, and through Small Groups.
